Select Family Practice and Urgent Care

This place is great for urgent care visits, but would not recommend if you are looking for a primary care physician. On the first visit there, my blood pressure was high and I was given the option of taking blood pressure(bp ) pills or getting it rechecked in a couple of weeks. Which is OKAY, except I stated I didn’t have a history of high blood pressure and I wasn’t asked about my diet or specifics on my lifestyle which does have an impact on bp. I also stated that sometimes I experienced chest pains, and was only told that wouldn’t be a symptom of high bp and should go to the Emergency Room if I do get chest pains. No further questions were asked regarding my experiencing chest pains, so I felt like the doctor really didn’t care and assumed most of my problems were from my weight because I am overweight. If you want medicine to treat the symptoms you may be experiencing this is the place for you. However, if you want to get to the root of the problem and want to get your body healthy, go somewhere else. I gave two stars because the office staff is extremely friendly.

Once again my virtual appointment with Dr. Hatefi was excellent. He always gives you full attention and is extremely knowledgeable and sincere in his approach. I moved from Raleigh to the mountains of North Carolina and wouldn’t give up my health care professional…was grateful to find out the practice had the “virtual” component. I get off work late and rushed to the clinic in traffic..walked into the clinic 30 minutes before closing, being that im used to seeing how inconvenienced people seem when you walk in close to closing time I almost stopped myself from going inside. I sure am glad I didn’t! Not once did anyone make me feel like I inconvenienced them by coming in so late. Completely the opposite, from the lovely front desk ladies to the amazingly friendly assistant who roomed me, Dr. Reza and even his lovely student doctor Sarah all made me feel so understood and comfortable, like they were just long time friends! I wouldn’t think twice about coming back and neither should you! Stop giving your money to ungrateful corporate urgent cares and come to this lovely welcoming office, you won’t regret it!!
